BREAKING: The Indianapolis Colts may be preparing for a massive shakeup, and even franchise superstar Jonathan Taylor might not be safe.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, citing reporting from Stephen Holder, multiple NFL teams are interested in acquiring Taylor as Indianapolis evaluates its next moves following Monday’s firing of longtime general manager Chris Ballard.
And we’re not talking about just another player. Taylor is the Colts’ ALL-TIME LEADER in rushing touchdowns, with 76, more than franchise legends Edgerrin James and Lenny Moore.
He has rushed for over 8,000 yards, earned three Pro Bowl selections and established himself as one of the greatest running backs in Indianapolis history.
Now, with the Colts sitting at 2-4 and another disappointing season unfolding, the possibility of trading their biggest offensive superstar is suddenly part of the conversation.
Taylor recently signed a contract extension through 2028, making the speculation even more shocking.
However, ESPN reports that Indianapolis has not decided whether it will become a seller before the November 10 trade deadline. No trade has been announced.
So here’s the bigger question: If the Colts are willing to consider moving someone like Jonathan Taylor, why stop there?
Should head coach Shane Steichen and quarterback Daniel Jones also be part of a complete organizational reset?
After years of disappointment, are Colts fans finally ready to blow the whole thing up, or would trading a generational talent like Taylor be another disastrous decision?
