Keith Lee might have just sent an entire generation back to Church’s Chicken!
The viral food critic recently visited Church’s Texas Chicken in Dallas as part of his hilarious new series, “Who’s Keeping Them Alive?” where he visits popular restaurant chains he rarely sees people eating at.
Lee admitted he didn’t personally know anybody who ate at Church’s, leaving longtime fans wondering where he’s been all his life.
But after trying the chicken, everything changed. Lee gave the food exceptionally high ratings, including a reported 9.3/10 for a leg and a PERFECT 10/10 for a thigh, before declaring Church’s the best fast-food fried chicken he’s ever eaten!
He tried original and spicy chicken, experimented with gravy and jalapeños, and discovered what generations of Church’s customers have known for decades.
The reaction, especially throughout the Black community, has been hilarious. Many people grew up on Church’s Chicken, remembering their parents coming home after a long workday with a big family box of fried chicken and those legendary honey-butter biscuits.
For some families, Church’s wasn’t some forgotten restaurant. It was a childhood staple!
Now Lee’s review is going viral, introducing the restaurant to a new audience and potentially creating another massive “Keith Lee Effect.”
His recommendations have famously resulted in restaurants experiencing extraordinary increases in business and lines stretching out the door and drive thrus packed into the streets.
And if that happens at Indiana’s Church’s Chicken locations, we’ll know exactly who to blame!
INDIANA, WAS KEITH LEE SLEEPING ON CHURCH’S CHICKEN, OR DID HE JUST REMIND EVERYBODY HOW GOOD IT REALLY IS?
Is Church’s actually better than Popeyes, KFC and all the other fast-food chicken spots? Or is a perfect 10/10 going way too far?
